We’re partying like it’s 1999 on this episode of Revisiting the Oscars, as we head back just over 20 years ago to cover a big year for cinema!
On this episode, Revisiting the Oscars is seeing dead people, tackling corruption in the tobacco industry, running an orphanage, managing death row and having a midlife crisis as we cover some of the big films to have been released just before the turn of the millennium.
Kicking us off is M. Night Shyamalan’s renowned supernatural drama ‘The Sixth Sense‘, which is still talked about to this day, whilst we’re also talking Frank Darabont’s Tom Hanks starring Shawshank follow up in ‘The Green Mile‘, and Sam Mendes impactful tale of boredom of suburbia, ‘American Beauty‘. Add in Al Pacino, Russell Crowe, Michael Caine and er Tobey Maguire, and there’s plenty of talking points!
